The Day of Canadia and My First Time in The War Museum!

Alright. Canada Day...

It started out with us driving from Cassies house to South Keys. Once at South Key we got have a fun experiance figuring out how the bus schedules work. We got on a bus to downtown.
There was a few people with no bus fare. So a guy from the back of the bus came up bareing a bus pass to let the other people on. It was great, we all shouted happy Canada Day and cheered. When the guy got off at his stop, we cheered for him again (to the confusion of people who got on later).

We got off the bus at the Rideau center. We explored it a bit, trying to figure out where we could exit. We found one, and left.

We then searched for an outdoor place to picnic. We eventually found Majors Hill Park (I think-correct me if I am wrong). We had a yummy yummy picnic of sandwhiches (mmmm salmon!), chips, iced tea, lemonade, water, (we had to pee alot yesturday) rasberries, strawberries and yummy homemade cookies a la Roe. Then we sat and talked and laughed and had fun. We saw a very cute puppy that had "I am *maple leaf*" on its back. I would put up pictures, but I cant-will find out why later.

Then we got up, and went to chapters. We spend a good 2-3 hours searching for books. They had a sale, by 3 get the 4th one free! We all went in and bought books. As we left, Cassie and I got Iced Frappichios (or something like that). Yummy.

We went outside and saw some buskers. People playing fun drums. People in the crowd would come out and randomly dancing. YAY EAGLE DANCE GUY! Lool! Up the street were some breakdancers. They were cool to.

So we walked around a bit, Eventually found a peice of grass across from the NAC. We stayed there for a hour and a half. We played clapping games and taught CAssie to sing 'Canada is Really Really Big'.

After that we went out to Elephant and Castle for dinner. It was good food, and is modeled after an English Pub. Accompanied by real english food and of course, drunken beer songs int eh background. :D

After that we explored the market a little. Looked for, and found gelato. First time eva eating Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. YUMMY!

We got a call from my sisters friends. Figured out when and where we were meeting. We set off to find the bridge to get to Hull. Along the way we bumped into a girl we havent seen since gr. 9. I was told that "your boobs have grown". Thanks April.

We had fun trying to find the bridge. Got to have a nice chat with the cops about directions. We finally made it to the bridge. We crossed, got to eh Civ Museum. Explored the musuem a bit, looking for Jen and her friends and then met up with them outside. We found a place by the water to watch the fire works. The fire works were AMAZING! The lasted a while and were beautiful.

We walked back across teh bridge, singing Canada Songs at the Top of our lungs. We were loud and proud on the bridge. No one else was tho. They didnt even join in when we sang oh Canada!:P

We went to a cake and coffe place. I got cheese cake (omg yummy!) and a 'Canadian Cappichino', sooo good.

We got out of there at about 12. It had started raining. We blindly follow a bunch of Jens friends to their car. When we got there (it was raining harder)and realised "What the hell are we doing?" So we turned away (raining harder)and started walking towards where WE parked. At the war museum. So we walked in thickening rain and thunder and lightning. To top it all off 3 of us (Jen, Cassie and I) had to pee REALLY REALY badly. It was a half hour walk. Umbrellas didnt do shatto keep us dry. I TWAS SO MUCH FUN! (except that we had to pee). We get to the museum, to find out that the parking garage where we parked, was CLOSED! Locked! And we had to pee. So we decided that the wall/grass beside the wall of the museum looked quite attractive. We decieded to releive ourselves. :P. We had to call one of Jens friends parents and wake them up so they could give us a ride. We went to find a wamred spot to stand, when we were walking by the windows of the museum ans saw the security gaurds. We were like DUH! We waved him down, had a nice chat through a locked door. He directed us to the main doors. THey let us in the museum. First time ever, and it was like 6 hours after closing! :P. They brought us down to the parking lot. We were the only car/van left! We got in, and drove off.

To top it all off, cause tehre was no gaurds and it was an automatic door, we got free parking!

It was pretty damn cool and sooooooo much fun! :D:D

I loved it.
